¹²    When you come to appear before me,
    who has asked for this from your hands:
        this trampling on my courts?
¹³    Stop bringing worthless^[a] offerings!
    Your incense is an abomination to me.
    I cannot stand your sinful assemblies
    on the new moons, Sabbaths, and holy days.

¹⁴Deep in my soul I hate your new moons and your appointed feasts.
They have become a burden to me.
I am tired of putting up with them.
